Aim of this lecture is to prepare students for a possible career track as entrepreneurs. Company founders are often called the backbone of economic growth. They create jobs and develop new technologies, products and services. The lecture deals with the economic importance of company foundations. Students acquire knowledge about the founding process of companies and learn about business ideas, the business plan as well as finance. Beyond the foundation of a company, the lecture also addresses relevant strategic, organizational and operative aspects that contribute to the further successful development of a company.
